Honeymoon: Our mini-moon was a trip to Peppers at Casuarina on the NSW coast. We spent three nights sampling the local food and wine and relaxing by our private plunge pool. We also stopped in for a lazy lunch at The Farm, Byron Bay on our way home. We plan on traveling abroad at Christmas time when we are free of work commitments.

Favourite Wedding Day moment:
Our first dance was well rehearsed and really enjoyable as we were both able to relax and get totally lost in the moment. We did a bridal waltz to Van Morrison’s Someone Like You. Looking back at the photos it was amazing to see everyone else dancing around us as it truly felt like we were dancing alone in our own little dream.

Please tell us what you think made your wedding day unique:
Looking back on our wedding day it was the guests who made it truly memorable. Our family and friends were so happy for us that their love was infectious and filled the room with joy and laughter. The atmosphere of the church and the reception venue was so romantic and relaxed. The time and effort we put into styling including the small touches such as the custom designed guest book, menus, hand written calligraphy place cards, hammered rose gold cutlery, mini floral arrangements on bar tables, ceiling and bridal table fairy lights and flower arrangements all came together to create our dream reception.

What advice/tips do you have for other brides: Enjoy the ride! I thoroughly enjoyed wedding planning, especially the research into the millions of options and ideas available online. I found Etsy was a wonderful resource for custom made stationery, seating charts; and for finding ideas for wedding gifts and decorations. I would also recommend where possible to delegate tasks as sharing the load, especially in the final week or two leading up to the wedding will help to keep you calm and collected!

What did you value most about using atomicbutterfly Photography?  We enjoyed working with Rach from day one as she specialised in natural, romantic photos that my husband and I love. She was open to trying lots of different poses during our complimentary engagement shoot which we thoroughly enjoyed and found assisted to ease our nerves on the day. We are extremely satisfied with the quality of shots Rach took, and the beautiful photo book and prints we received. It was truly a pleasure to work with such a professional. We wholeheartedly recommend Atomicbutterfly Photography for you wedding photography needs.
